The starting idea

I want to build an AI job-search assistant that helps people manage the complete process of finding and applying for jobs. Job seekers currently search across several job boards, repeatedly rewrite their résumé and cover letter, complete similar application forms and manually track every position they apply for. They may apply to dozens of jobs without understanding why they are not receiving interviews or what they should improve. The product would allow users to upload their résumé, describe the kind of role they want and connect the job boards or sources they use. It would recommend suitable jobs, explain why each role is a good match, tailor the résumé and cover letter for each application, help complete application forms and maintain a central tracker showing applications, responses, interviews and follow-ups. It could also analyse patterns across rejected or unanswered applications, identify possible weaknesses and recommend changes to the user’s résumé, positioning or job-search strategy. Interview preparation could be added once the user begins receiving interviews. The initial target customers would be university graduates, recently laid-off professionals and people actively trying to move into a better role. Possible pricing models include a monthly subscription, a fixed-price job-search package or a premium plan that continues until the user receives an offer. I want to understand whether a broad AI job-search assistant can still become a strong business or whether the product needs to focus on a specific profession, career transition, job-search stage or distribution partner.
