## Key terms

### What is an opportunity?

An opportunity is a fully written, ranked version of your idea. Each one names a specific direction, a specific customer, and a specific way to make money. It includes a one-liner, the target customer, what makes it different, an honest list of weaknesses, a score across five commercial dimensions, and a short note on how it compares to where you started. A founder run produces a handful of opportunities next to your original idea.

### What is a growth opportunity?

A growth opportunity is one direction your business could take, scored and ranked against the goal you set. The engine works from a fixed library of strategic angles (a new pricing model, a sharper customer focus, a new channel, a margin play, a retention play) and produces a set of distinct opportunities: 25 on Pro, 50 on Scale. You see your business reframed across many real options side by side, not 50 versions of the same idea.

### What is a complete game plan?

A complete game plan is one growth opportunity fully worked up for you: the deep-dive analysis on the opportunity plus the step-by-step plan to actually do it. The Pro plan includes 3 and the Scale plan includes 6. The engine highlights its recommendations, but the picks are yours: you shortlist which opportunities get worked up from your workspace.

### What is a deep-dive?

A deep-dive is the full analysis layer on one direction: the strongest argument against it and the one thing you would need to prove it wrong, a research report (real competitors, pricing, a customer interview script, and the top risks), a 90-day plan, and a closing memo written straight to you. On the Starter plan the deep-dive runs on your own idea. On business plans it runs on each growth opportunity we fully work up.

### What is the Launch Kit?

The Launch Kit is a founder's first 90 days, done for you. Once you have shortlisted the direction you want to pursue, it writes the actual work to launch it: a day-by-day content calendar, ready-to-paste social posts, email sequences, a build-to-revenue roadmap, a pricing plan, and a plan to reach your first 10, 100, and 1000 customers. The Launch Kit fills the Growth and Execution tabs and is an optional add-on for founders.

### What is the Execution Kit, and how is it different from the Launch Kit?

Same engine, different audience. For founders launching something new, the Launch Kit is the cold-start playbook (the posts, calendar, and build roadmap to ship from zero). For a business rolling a chosen opportunity into its existing customers, channels, and pricing, the Execution Kit is the rollout plan instead: the business case, a small pilot to de-risk it, who owns what, the risks to watch, and the numbers to track. For businesses this is included in every complete game plan.

### What is the AI Prompt Pack?

A set of expert prompts, each already loaded with the context of your idea. They cover the real jobs of getting a product built and launched: writing a spec, scoping a first version, scaffolding your first commit, writing landing page copy, running customer interviews, and more. You copy one block, paste it into your own AI tool such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Gemini, and go. It is part of the founder Launch Kit.

### What are the 5 scoring dimensions?

Everything is scored 0 to 10 on five commercial dimensions, but the five depend on who you are. Founders bringing one idea are scored on Buyer Urgency (how badly the customer wants this now), Market Proof (evidence this is a real, paid problem), Distribution Edge (a privileged way to reach customers), Revenue Speed (how fast a real dollar lands), and Defensibility (how hard it is to copy you). Businesses looking for growth opportunities are scored on Revenue Expansion (new revenue on top of today), Customer Demand (how much the target customers want it), Distribution Leverage (reuse of your existing reach), Execution Complexity (how simple for your team, higher means simpler), and Competitive Risk (how well you can defend it, higher means safer). Either way the overall score blends all five, re-balanced to your situation. Full breakdowns at /docs/scoring/founders and /docs/scoring/business.

## How it works

### What is IdeaTwister?

IdeaTwister is an AI engine for rethinking business ideas and finding growth. Founders give it one rough idea and get it stress-tested and twisted into ranked opportunities. Businesses describe what they do and get a set of scored growth opportunities with the best ones fully worked up. A coordinated set of AI agents does the work on our infrastructure. You get back an interactive workspace with named directions, scores, and an honest read on each.

### How does a run actually work, end to end?

You open ideatwister.com/twist, tell us what you are working on, pick a plan, and pay through LemonSqueezy (or Razorpay for INR). The engine starts the moment your order lands. For a founder it deep-dives your idea, then twists it into fresher opportunities and ranks them side by side. For a business it maps a set of growth opportunities, scores them against your goal, and fully works up the strongest few. It then renders everything into an interactive workspace. The link arrives by email and shows on the live status page.

### How is this different from a typical idea generator?

Most generators output an unscored, undifferentiated list of suggestions from a single AI call. IdeaTwister runs a coordinated set of specialized agents, grounds each one in live research, and scores every direction across five commercial dimensions. You walk away with a ranked, filterable shortlist and a worked-up plan for the best opportunities, instead of a brainstorm dump.

### Why not just prompt Claude or ChatGPT myself?

You could. You would also spend hours crafting prompts, fighting the model's habit of agreeing with you, structuring results by hand, running separate research queries, and trying to synthesize it. IdeaTwister does all of that in one run with coordinated agents, structured scoring, and an interactive workspace.

### What if the engine tells me my idea or bet is weak?

That is the point. IdeaTwister is built to be honest, not to cheer you on. If your idea has a fatal flaw, we surface the strongest argument against it upfront so you do not waste months building it. Businesses get the same honesty: every growth opportunity is scored against your real goal, not flattered.

## Pricing and refunds

### How much does it cost?

You pay per run, never a subscription. Founder plans: Starter is $29 (a full deep-dive on your idea plus around 6 opportunities scored next to it) and Founder Pro is $59 (a deep-dive on your idea, 25 opportunities, and the 2 alternatives you shortlist, each deep-dived). Business plans: Pro is $349 (25 growth opportunities with 3 you shortlist worked up into complete game plans) and Scale is $799 (50 growth opportunities with the best 6 worked up). Custom is contact-for-pricing for $10M+ businesses and agencies.

### Is the purchase a subscription?

No. You pay per run. Each run is a one-time charge. Run when you want a fresh read; skip when you do not.

### Are there any ongoing costs beyond the run price?

No. Each run is a flat price. We cover the AI provider infrastructure out of the run price. No API key. No tokens to budget.

### Is there a free trial?

No free trial. Starter is $29, the cheapest way to try the engine on your own idea. If a run fails before delivering a workspace, the order is refunded automatically.

### What is your refund policy?

Failed runs are refunded automatically through your original payment processor (LemonSqueezy for USD, Razorpay for INR). Completed runs that delivered a workspace are not eligible, because you have received the core value. Full details on the refund policy page.

### Do I own the results?

Yes. The opportunities, game plans, and workspaces IdeaTwister generates belong to you. Use them in your own products, pitches, fundraising decks, or business.

## Running your idea or business

### What can I submit?

If you are a founder, anything from a one-sentence concept to a short paragraph works: SaaS ideas, service businesses, physical products, content plays, even "I want to build something in X space but I do not know what". If you run a business, you describe what you do, who you serve, how you grow today, and where you feel stuck. Either way, rough is fine.

### How long does a run take?

Around 20 minutes for a founder run, and 30 to 40 minutes for a business run depending on how wide it goes. Watch live progress on the status page, or close the tab and open the workspace link from your email when it finishes.

### What is the difference between Starter, Founder Pro, Pro, and Scale?

Starter ($29) and Founder Pro ($59) are for founders validating an idea: Starter is a deep-dive on your idea plus a handful of opportunities; Founder Pro adds 25 opportunities and deep-dives on the 2 alternatives you shortlist. Pro ($349) and Scale ($799) are for businesses choosing where to grow: Pro maps 25 growth opportunities with 3 you shortlist worked up, Scale maps 50 with the best 6 worked up.

## Results and delivery

### What is in the workspace?

An interactive workspace with every direction from the run. Each one gets a name, the angle it came from, a description, a score (0 to 10 across the five dimensions), an honest weaknesses section, and a revenue model outline. The directions worked up also get a full deep-dive and a plan to act. Everything is filterable and ranked side by side.

### What unlocks the Growth and Execution tabs?

Your results open as a workspace with four tabs: Strategy, Market, Growth, and Execution. Strategy and Market hold the analysis. Growth and Execution hold the done-for-you work to launch a chosen direction. For founders, those two tabs unlock with the Launch Kit. For businesses, execution is included in every complete game plan, so they are already filled for the opportunities we work up.

### Can I share my workspace with someone else?

Yes. Your workspace URL is a read-only view you can share. Send it to a co-founder, advisor, teammate, or investor and they can open it in any browser. No login needed for viewers.

---

## Data and privacy

### Is my idea private?

Your input is processed on our infrastructure by our AI provider. We do not sell or share your idea or business data. The workspace URL is unguessable and read-only. You decide who sees it by deciding who you share the link with.

### Do you train AI models on my idea?

No. The AI provider we use is configured for zero data retention on the prompts we send. Your input is not used to train models, ours or theirs.
